The maximum speed of the access line connecting your premises to the nbn™ is known as speed tier. The actual speed you effect from, in particular during busy hours, shall be limited due to continuous usage in other parts of the network at the same time. The standard speed experienced by a representative group of users from 7 pm to 11 pm is the Typical Evening Speed. It is not an authenticated minimum speed, and the past performance does not indicate the expected future speed. The actual speed you run into considers the total demand on the network, access technology, physical line condition, and local internet traffic. For more details, refer nbn™ speeds.
Keep in mind that speed tiers above nbn12 are not always supported by FTTN, FTTB, or FTTC access lines. Only after installation we can confirm your maximum access line speed. After installation, we activate and test your full access line speed. If there are any issues in the chosen speed tier, we will inform you and suggest a lower tier. The additional money you have paid for the higher speed tier will be refunded.
Once your service is ordered, you can opt for NEX Telecom Home Phone (VoIP) service and change your existing phone number to the former. VoIP service enables your calls on the internet instead of using PSTN network. To be assisted with this service, you will require a VoIP- compatible modem.
This will enable access to very low, Pay As You Go call rates. In addition, porting your number is free.

At the time of sale, a payment verification charge of $1 may be debited from your account. On your first invoice, this will be credited back to you. To avoid the 1% Credit Card surcharge, you can also pay by Direct Debit.
The broadband activation fee is free as per the offers discussed earlier. However, depending on the services availed, there might be extra up-front charges, and the users will be charged based on our Terms and Conditions. The up-front costs include, but are not limited to, Lead-in or Additional Cabling, Phone Line Activation Fee or Copper Line Installation Charges, Equipment Charges such as Modems, Routers, or Splitters, Missed Appointment Fees or any complex charges on-site work required to provide available broadband service.
